Assault units of the Defense Forces advanced on certain directions in the area of the Dobropillia salient over the past day. Overall, during the operation, 188 km² have been liberated, and 248.7 km² cleared of Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups.
This was reported by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
He noted that operations are continuing in Donetsk region, particularly within the area of responsibility of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces.
The Commander-in-Chief reviewed reports from local commanders on the current situation and urgent needs.
The focus was on securing logistics and actions of assault groups to push Russian forces out of urban areas.
“We are reinforcing troops with additional units, weapons, and equipment, including unmanned systems. We are increasing pressure on the Dobropillia salient. We continue liberating and clearing territories, which forces the enemy to disperse their forces and prevents them from concentrating their main efforts in the Pokrovsk area,” Syrskyi said.
He emphasized that combat operations to destroy Russian invaders are ongoing.
