Ukraine continues close cooperation with Denmark, in particular, in implementing programs to restore the communal infrastructure of the Mykolaiv region. On September 28, the Second meeting of the Coordination Committee of the Ukrainian-Danish Energy Partnership Programme (UDEPP) was held.
"Today, an important decision was made to direct the funds provided by the Program for the current period for the provision of charitable assistance to restore heat supply in the Mykolaiv region. The support of our international partners will contribute to overcoming the difficulties that may befall us during the heating season," emphasized the Deputy Minister of Community Development and Territories of Ukraine, Nataliya Khotsyanivska.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and the Danish Energy Agency concluded a Cooperation Agreement in 2021 within the framework of the Ukrainian-Danish Energy Partnership Programme.
The objective of the Programme is to strengthen the favorable environment for investments in sustainable energy and district heating, which will help Ukraine to achieve the goals of energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, as well as modernization of district heating. This Agreement provides for the allocation of 6.4 million Danish kroner until 2026 for the field of heat supply.
We will remember that earlier, the Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, Oleksiy Chernyshov, reported on the following practical results of cooperation with Denmark: the Danish government provided Mykolaiv with equipment for priority restoration, in particular excavators, dump trucks, and loaders.
