COSCO Shipping Europe has announced the launch of the Black Sea Feeder Service (BFS).

The service is expected to connect the port of Chornomorsk in Ukraine with the Turkish port of Kumport, located near Istanbul, according to Gospodarka Morska.

Initially, COSCO Shipping Europe shared the announcement via a social media post, but it was later deleted. At this time, details about the service and its start date remain unknown.

 

 

The announcement was made by COSCO Shipping Europe, a subsidiary of COSCO Corporation serving the European region. The company has been operating since 1989 and is headquartered in Hamburg. Its business administration spans Europe, North Africa, the Mediterranean, and the Black Sea region, covering a total of 64 countries.

Its areas of activity include container shipping, bulk cargo transport, logistics services, terminal operations, ship maintenance, and marine fuel supply, among others. The company has 15 subsidiaries in 12 countries, some wholly owned and others joint ventures.
