Due to the inability of the Russian army to achieve the objectives set by the Kremlin leaders on the battlefield, the invaders are using chemicals on the front line — throughout the war against Ukraine, the Russian forces have turned this practice into a systematic one.
This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate.
"Currently, on the line of contact — in particular, in the Zaporizhzhia region near the settlement of Shcherbaky — incidents of the enemy using munitions with poisonous gas are being recorded with increasing frequency," writes the Intelligence Agency.
According to the Agency, most often, this involves RG-Vo grenades (hand grenades — toxic substances): the Russian forces drop them from drones onto the positions of Ukraine's Security and Defense Forces.
The gas used by the Russian forces affects the mucous membranes and respiratory tract. Being in the contaminated area without protective gear can have fatal consequences — unfortunately, there have already been casualties among Ukraine’s defenders.
Examinations of the chemical substances used by the Russians are currently underway in order to identify them precisely.
