The occupiers are trying to mobilize men in the territories of the Luhansk region, which were occupied in 2022. In particular, it was planned to find 500 men in Severodonetsk, who were to replenish the composition of the 2nd Army Corps and units of the so-called "people's militia". Currently, the "mobilization" programme has completely failed.
At the meeting of local residents, which representatives of the occupation administration held in the village of Myrne, Kherson region, with the participation of the Russian military, the issue of recruiting local men to the "people's militia" was discussed. It was stated that education, age, and physical and moral condition are unimportant.
In addition, the meeting discussed the issue of obtaining Russian passports and future pension provisions. Representatives of the occupation administration spoke of Russian pensioners' "high standard of living". And also that the government must "send each of them on tourist trips" every year.
