"I am optimistic about the issue of establishing the persons involved in these cases. Some of them - we already understand who was there directly. In particular, if we are talking about Balaklia, then it is the riot police from Tolyatti… Now we are identifying who personally participated in the torture of our citizens there," said Denys Monastyrsky.

The minister said that he was most impressed by the torture chamber in Balaklia: "It was on the site of a police station. And there, up to 40 people could be kept in the cells at the same time, according to witnesses, hundreds of people passed through this torture chamber."

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the Russian occupiers subjected people to electric currents, beatings, and various forms of abuse, including pulling out nails.

"Today, the police have more than 25,000 hours of audio conversations of the occupiers, where they talk about their crimes. I am sure that we will be able to establish who exactly did this," Denys Monastyrsky emphasized.
