After each killing of his critics by Russian President Vladimir Putin, there was outrage, but after world leaders shook hands with him again, it allowed him to continue killing people, said Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba.

"Politkovskaya, Litvinenko, Magnitsky, Nemtsov, Navalny are only some of the most well-known names on the long list of critics killed by Putin. There was outrage after each murder, but Putin eventually got away with it, and world leaders shook his hand again. This encouraged him to continue killing people," Kuleba wrote on the social network X.

He noted that today some voices continue to call for Putin to be "heard and negotiated with."

"It is time to end the naiveté. Before any meaningful engagement with Moscow can begin, Russia must be defeated in Ukraine and Putin must finally learn a lesson," the minister said.

Earlier, it became known that the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug reported on its website about the death of Alexei Navalny.
