Dnipro will cooperate with the Israeli city of Netanya in the fields of education and security. The agreement has already been signed.

This was reported by the press service of the Dnipro City Council.

Under the memorandum of friendship already concluded, the Israeli and Ukrainian parties will expand their joint work, particularly in the areas of security, education, culture, sports, local self-government, and environmental protection.

"Despite significant challenges and threats to national security faced by Ukraine and the State of Israel, the parties find opportunities to expand interregional cooperation," commented the event at the Embassy of Ukraine in Israel.

In turn, Dnipro Mayor Boris Filatov emphasized that Dnipro will continue to develop inter-municipal partnerships with cities from different countries.

"The war has opened what is called a 'window of opportunity' for us, which we are using to make Dnipro even more resilient to the challenges of wartime. Besides verbal support, the city attracts various municipal equipment, generators, equipment for hospitals, and more. At the same time, this strengthens the foundation for post-war recovery and development," said Filatov.

It is known that during nearly 2.5 years of full-scale war, Dnipro has established cooperation with the German city of Cologne, the Italian city of Milan, the Japanese city of Osaka (with which an agreement on post-war recovery of Dnipro has also been signed), the capital of Finland - Helsinki, the cities of Grand Rapids and Amarillo (USA), as well as Ostrava (Czech Republic).
