EU sanctions against Russia should not be fictitious.

This was stated by the Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, in an interview with TVN 24.

"Half of Europe still trades with Russia and Belarus, many companies, including those in Poland, successfully circumvent sanctions. Because for some reason, no one is interested in really complying with them," he said.

He added that there are also frozen Russian assets, which - as he said - would be enough to lead a victorious war in Ukraine. When asked why they cannot be used, the Prime Minister responded:

"because in those capitals where we hear loud pro-Ukrainian words, when it comes down to it, for example, when we say: let's take these Russian assets, give them to Ukraine, it turns out there are some problems."

"Today, I can proudly say that Poland behaves extremely rationally and responsibly, boldly, but without recklessness," said the Prime Minister.
