Economic Security Bureau to cooperate with law enforcement agencies of the Czech Republic

Vadym Melnyk, Director of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine (ESBU), and Jiří Mazánek, Director of the National Organized Crime Agency of the Czech Republic, have agreed on strategic partnership and cooperation. The parties signed a relevant Memorandum.

The Memorandum also covers consulting on the fight against organized crime, joint investigations, exchange of information and experience, training, and technical support.

Vadym Melnyk expressed his gratitude to Jiří Mazánek for support and cooperation in the institutional development of the ESBU.

“The signing of the Memorandum is a logical continuation of our fruitful cooperation with the Czech National Organized Crime Agency. Practical daily interaction, exchange of information, analytics, joint investigations and experience are among the many areas of our common interest. In the near future, our employees will be involved in a series of training programs with our Czech colleagues. A separate important area is the identification and blocking of financial assets of the russian federation and belarus in the Czech Republic,” said Vadym Melnyk, Director of the ESBU.

The document was signed during a working visit of the Bureau’s Director to the regional office of the Economic Security Bureau in Lviv region.

Earlier, the ESBU agreed on an algorithm of cooperation with the Europol National Contact Point in Ukraine.
