The deficit of electricity in Ukraine is currently 30%, and electricity producers provide 70% of electricity consumption in Ukraine.
According to NPC Ukrenergo on Telegram, the increase in power shortage was caused by an emergency shutdown of units at several power plants that occurred on the morning of November 28, as well as a further increase in consumption due to worsening weather conditions.
"As of 11:00 on November 29, electricity producers provide 70% of electricity consumption in Ukraine. The capacity deficit is currently 30%," the report says.
The energy company also recalled that the economical use of electricity will reduce the application of restrictions to prevent accidents and enable power engineers to focus on repairing damaged facilities, which become more complicated with each subsequent missile attack.
