The Acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy, Rostyslav Karandeyev, along with the Ambassador of Ukraine to Estonia, Maxim Kononenko, and the Ambassador at Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Igor Ostapenko, discussed the transfer of 274 archaeological artifacts.

The meeting was held to express gratitude to the representatives of the diplomatic service for the prompt transfer of artifacts to Ukraine.

"Thanks to the joint efforts and powerful cooperation between the Estonian and Ukrainian sides, we celebrate another victory on the cultural front. Soon, the exhibits will be transferred to Ukraine. They will effectively complement our national heritage and demonstrate historical justice," he noted.

The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy reminded that in 2019, the police and border service of Estonia successfully prevented the illegal entry of a series of archaeological artifacts into the country. Among them are 274 items belonging to the cultures of the early Iron Age and the Iron Age from the 5th–4th centuries BCE to the 7th–10th centuries CE, constituting part of Ukraine's cultural heritage.
