In Odessa, a former militant of illegal armed groups of the terrorist organization "DPR" (Donetsk People's Republic) was detained.

This was reported to journalists at the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Odessa region.

It is noted that the defendant took part in the hostilities in the temporarily occupied territory of Donbas.

It was established that in 2015 he voluntarily joined the so-called "Cossack National Guard of the Great Don Army", where he "served" as part of the material support unit.

Subsequently, the attacker left the ranks of the militants and went to the controlled territory of Ukraine. All the time he carefully concealed his participation in the "DPR".

In Odessa, he came to the attention of the special services when he acquired 1 kg of RDX explosive.

He was informed of suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 258-3 (creation of a terrorist group or organization) and Part 1 of Art. 263 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition, explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen for the man.
