The Ukrainian Cultural Festival will take place in the United States from November 7th to November 15th, 2023. Ukrainian writers will perform, and movies "Dovbush" and "Pamfir" will be screened. The full festival programme has been announced by the organizers.
The festival is a joint effort by the charitable organization Razom, the New York artistic group Yara Arts, the Ukrainian Institute of America, the Shevchenko Scientific Society, and the Bowery Poetry Club.
"Over ten days in November, you will have an opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of Ukrainian poetry and prose and check out the best in contemporary Ukrainian cinema," the festival's press service writes.
Writers at the festival will include Andriy Kurkov, Oksana Lutsyshyna, Olena Stiazhkina, Iya Kiva, Alex Averbukh, Lyudmyla and Boris Khersonsky.
On Tuesday, November 7th, there will be a screening of the film "Dovbush" by Oles Sanin. On Sunday, November 12th, "Pamfir" by Dmytro Sukholytky-Sobchuk will be shown. For cinema enthusiasts, there will also be a short film programme titled "A Bit of Bravery."
