Three Russian Shahed drones hit a confectionery workshop in Sumy where Easter cakes were being baked.

The head of the Sumy District Military Administration, Mykhailo Melnyk, reported this on Facebook.

He noted that the Russian forces attacked the facility early in the morning of April 18, around 5 a.m.

“As a result of the attack, an entrepreneur who had come to pick up products was killed, and a female employee of the confectionery workshop was injured,” Melnyk added.

According to the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into a war crime that resulted in civilian deaths (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, are documenting the consequences of the attack.
