The Russian invaders are trying to reconnoiter the location of the air defense systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Odessa region.

As told in the operational command "South", the Odessa region and Odessa remain among the priorities of the Russians, even though after the de-occupation of the right bank, the front line moved significantly to the east.

It is noted that the region has access to the Black Sea, where a significant ship grouping of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation is on combat duty.

“In addition, the region is systematically subjected to missile and drone attacks. Aerial drones from the sea conduct reconnaissance and try to expose the situation, including looking for air defense systems,” the report says.

The antiamphibious defense of the coast, organized from the first days of a full-scale invasion, remains relevant today, despite the low probability of an enemy landing. At the same time, sabotage and reconnaissance work with the use of enemy diving groups is not ruled out.

The report says that the forces and means of defense of the region are concentrated and organized to ensure security, including the conduct of combat and training activities to maintain readiness and respond to challenges and threats.

"Thus, from time to time, the actions of the Defense Forces may be accompanied by the sounds of combat work, explosions, and shots," the command added.

It is also noted that in the event of a threat, the region's population is promptly notified of the need to go to the shelter. In other cases, when daily work is going on, the time, place, and results are not reported since the activities of the units of the Defense Forces are not subject to coverage, so as not to orient the enemy.
