In the UK, under the guidance of Finnish and Australian instructors as part of the multinational operation Interflex, future commanders of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are enhancing their tactical skills and mastering key techniques and strategies for storming enemy trenches.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces shared this information on Facebook.
The trenches are where real battles take place, requiring the highest level of expertise.
"Initially, the military is shown the basic techniques for storming trenches at the platoon level, including methods for covering groups with fire support. Key aspects of preparation and analysis of reconnaissance data, battlefield situation assessment, terrain model development, and storming plan preparation for enemy trenches are also discussed," noted the General Staff.
In addition, an important element is the rules for handling the wounded in trenches and careful movement within them.
After the theoretical part, platoon commanders move on to the planning stage, considering all necessary information. They practice assaults both during the day and at night, improving their coordination.
Through these exercises, Ukrainian servicemen enhance all the necessary skills required to liberate the country from the enemy.
The General Staff expressed gratitude to their partners from Australia and Finland for their support and collaborative efforts in training Ukrainian defenders.
