Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation continue to carefully document the facts of violations of the Russian military in Trostyanets, Sumy region.

This was announced by the Director of the State Bureau of Investigation Olexei Sukhachev.

All information received will be received, including by international authorities, and none of the perpetrators will escape fair punishment.

The unit, which was established within the structure of the Main Investigation Department at the beginning of the Russian aggression, continues to work actively.

Investigators from the Bureau inspected more than 2,000 hectares of the city actually destroyed by the invaders. The locations of the aggressor's combat units and the firing positions from which the shelling was carried out have been established. Seized documents and personal belongings of the Russian military.

Investigating the consequences of artillery and mortar shelling of the infrastructure of the city of the Russian Federation, State Bureau of Investigation investigators found intentionally damaged 322 residential buildings and civilian objects in Trostyanets.

During the investigation, places, where the occupiers tortured civilians, were identified. At least 34 cases of unlawful deprivation of liberty and torture of civilians have been reported. Batons, handcuffs, metal ticks and clothes of the victims with traces of blood were found at the crime scene.

Among other things, 29 site inspections were conducted, the bodies of 23 victims, including two children, were exhumed.

SBI officers neutralized several explosive devices during the work and handed over unused weapons and ammunition to the Armed Forces.

In addition, investigators consider it appropriate to combine in a separate case and a number of looting proceedings.
