In Ukraine, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, in collaboration with the Ukrainian Veterans Foundation and partners LUN and Uklon, has launched an interactive map of veteran-owned businesses. This initiative, titled "The way of a veteran. Business," aims to empower veterans through entrepreneurship, support their business activities, and ensure a comfortable return to civilian life.

The interactive map features businesses established by veterans and their families across various regions of Ukraine. As of now, the map showcases 77 projects and will continue to be updated with new businesses. A wide range of business types and industries can be found on the map, with a predominant presence in the food service sector and a growing presence in the defense industry.

Many veterans apply their specialized knowledge and skills from their military service to their civilian businesses, providing valuable services and support to fellow veterans.

The ministry has opted not to pinpoint businesses operating close to conflict zones for security reasons. This initiative promotes and celebrates veteran entrepreneurship and serves as a valuable resource for the public to discover and support veteran-owned businesses.
