The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine conducted tests of FPV drones produced in Lithuania under conditions as close as possible to combat.
This information was provided by the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania.
The event was organized to allow Ukraine to choose products that best meet the needs of Ukrainian soldiers.
This time, after refining the drones based on feedback from Ukrainian experts, five Lithuanian manufacturing companies performed successfully.
'Lithuania aims to support the production of drones and anti-drones. This is also highly relevant for the Ukrainian side. Ukrainians are sharing their experiences of using drones in the battlefield, testing drones from our manufacturers, and, after selecting the most suitable ones, will sign contracts with the manufacturing companies. This is a significant encouragement and a major step for our drone manufacturers, as drone technologies and capabilities are essential for maintaining modern armed forces,' said Minister of National Defense Laurynas Kasčiūnas.
The drones from Lithuanian manufacturers brought to Ukraine for testing varied in technical specifications, components, and innovative technologies used.
Representatives of the Ukrainian army assessed the submitted samples and prepared recommendations.
In the near future, based on the evaluations and proposals from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Lithuanian manufacturers who participated in the tests will be invited to submit final proposals and sign contracts.
