Polish special services conducted a series of searches in the investigation of the activities of a Russian spy network that discredited Ukraine.
This was stated by the press secretary of the Minister-Coordinator of Special Services of Poland, Jacek Dobżynski, as reported by Onet.
It is noted that the searches took place yesterday in Warsaw and the city of Tychy in western Poland. During them, tens of thousands of dollars were seized.
The operation was coordinated with the security services of other European countries, including partners from the Czech Republic.
"The aim (of the campaign) was to implement the preconditions of the Kremlin's foreign policy, including weakening the position of the Republic of Poland on the international stage, discrediting Ukraine, and the image of the European Union institutions," the statement said.
Polish law enforcement officials clarified that to achieve the above-mentioned goals, an international website "voice-of-europe.eu" was launched, on which articles, statements, comments, and interviews of pro-Russian orientation are published. A number of people were also interrogated.
