Italy intends to play a leading role in the future reconstruction of Ukraine and is working on organizing a Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine in 2025. This was stated in a welcome message by the newly appointed Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Ukraine, Carlo Formosa, as reported on the embassy's website.

He noted that there is a strong sense of mutual sympathy and kinship between the Ukrainian and Italian peoples.
"We will build on these achievements to further intensify relations between the two countries," assured the ambassador.
