The White House plans to announce the final aid package for Ukraine, which still has funds remaining and does not require additional approval for financing from the U.S. Congress. John Kirby, the Coordinator of Strategic Communications for the U.S. National Security Council, made this statement, as reported by "Voice of America."
"This month we plan another aid package for Ukraine... After this, we will no longer have the authority for replenishment, and we will need Congress to act promptly," Kirby said.
Kirby did not specify the exact equipment that will be included in the aid package.
"We have enough for one good package [of aid], what exactly will be in it and the total amount, I cannot tell you right now," he noted.
The amount of the planned next aid package for Ukraine is not disclosed.
President Joe Biden is seeking to persuade lawmakers, predominantly Republicans, to approve further assistance, including over $60 billion, particularly for Ukraine.
