IT Ukraine Association in partnership with BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT will organize a joint press conference and information-sharing event at BCS London office on Thursday, 20th October. 


The event aims to highlight the significant contribution of IT professionals in times of war. Emerging trends will be shared, especially around innovation in cyber-security, military technology use, and the Ukrainian society's wider rapid digital transformation.   

The message from the IT Ukraine Association to the world is that their tech sector is very much open for business. What can companies in the UK and beyond do to support Ukraine? What can we all learn from the rapidly changing tech landscape, both now and when it finally comes, in peacetime?

Keynote speeches will be delivered by CEO of the IT Ukraine Association, Konstantin Vasyuk, Rashik Parmar MBE, CEO of BCS, and from Ukrainian companies entering the UK market have been invited to give presentations.

IT Ukraine Association and BCS will sign a Memorandum of Understanding at the event. Its purpose is to agree to strengthen ties and cooperation to keep technology at the heart of a prosperous and peaceful society.

This will be achieved by supporting economic development and attracting sustainable investment, promoting digital skills and education, growing a diverse, ethical and trusted technology sector, and advocating for the societal and economic benefits of membership of both organisations. 

Konstantin Vasyuk, CEO, IT Ukraine Association:  The IT Ukraine Association has launched activities in the United Kingdom in September 2022. The UK export market is one of the largest and most promising for our IT companies. Together with our partner – the BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT – we will create new opportunities for Ukrainian tech companies in their further global growth and collaboration with the UK clients.

For more than twenty years the Ukrainian tech remains attractive and competitive in the global market.  Since the war started and for these seven months, we proved the sustainability and flexibility of Ukrainian Tech. We continue the uninterruptible services delivery to our customers and also gained a unique expertise in military, unmanned tech and cybersecurity.

BCS is due to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the IT Ukraine Association at the event. Its purpose is to agree to strengthen ties and cooperation to keep technology at the heart of a prosperous and peaceful society.

Rashik Parmar MBE, CEO of BCS: Technology has played a central role in the war effort in Ukraine following Russia's invasion. Against the backdrop of this tragedy, IT professionals have contributed enormously to the protection of the country. This event is vital for anyone who wants to understand the complex situation and believes they can support Ukraine through its economic development.

The event will be hybrid, with an invited in-person audience that will include journalists, businesses and other stakeholders.
