The European Union has prepared 700,000 artillery shells for Ukraine out of the promised one million. The industry continues to ramp up production.

This statement was made by the EU's chief diplomat, Josep Borrell, before a meeting with EU foreign ministers.

"We are currently at approximately 700,000 shells of 155mm caliber. We are not yet at the target, but the West is increasing its capabilities," he said.

Borrell emphasized that the EU's industrial sector is still ramping up, so ammunition production continues.

"I want to insist that we will continue to support Ukraine; we are considering targeting within Russian territory," the diplomat added.

Borrell also stated that the EU does not want to enter into war with Russia but aims to help Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.

He noted that sending military instructors to Ukraine is not on the agenda. Instead, discussions are underway about creating a coordination center in Ukraine.

Additionally, Borrell mentioned that the number of Ukrainian soldiers receiving training in the EU will be increased, with the goal of training 60,000 troops.
