"KyivPride" will be held in June for the first time since the full-scale invasion began.
As part of the Pride Month, on June 9th at 13:00 at the Kyiv art center Closer, a charity educational festival will be organized. The program includes lectures, discussions, creative workshops, a fair of Ukrainian brands, psychological consultations, master classes, and a musical program.
At the festival, the winners of the KyivPride Awards will be honored – an award for "allies of the LGBTQ+ community." Politicians, businesses, media, and public figures who support equality and the rights of LGBTQ+ people are eligible for this award.
To participate, registration is required via the provided link, with the entrance fee being a charitable donation starting from 150 hryvnias. All proceeds will go to the Pride Fund, aiming to raise 4 million hryvnias for the needs of the military.
Additionally, on June 16th, the Equality March will take place, which last occurred in Kyiv in 2021. Due to the martial law, it will be organized in the Kyiv metro, with a maximum of 500 participants. The KyivPride team is currently negotiating with the military administration. The full schedule of events will be published later on the "KyivPride" Instagram page.
