To fulfill the mandate of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, Deputy Head of the Office of President Kyrylo Tymoshenko, visited Odessa on a working trip.
He got acquainted with the course of restoration of the electricity supply in Odessa and the region, where many complaints came from.
According to Kyrylo Tymoshenko, repair works are currently underway at energy infrastructure facilities, particularly at substations that were hit by rocket attacks from the Russian Federation.
"They were actually destroyed. Now energy workers are working on restoration. The most important thing is that tonight Odessa and the Odessa district were able to get more thanks to the work of our energy workers in the last few days," he said.
The deputy head of the Office noted that the most important task is restoring power supply to critical infrastructure and household consumers.
He noted that emergency shutdowns are being applied throughout the country due to Russia's constant missile attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities. Kyrylo Tymoshenko called on citizens to treat the restrictions with understanding and assured that energy workers work around the clock to increase capacity and give light to every home - without blackouts.
"Our first task is to move from emergency shutdowns to planned shutdowns so that every citizen knows when there will be no electricity. I hope that in the coming days, we will be able to implement such a mode of operation almost throughout the country. We are all working on this together," Kyrylo Tymoshenko emphasized.
During his working trip to Odessa, the deputy head of the Office of the President also visited one of the centers where internally displaced persons from the Kherson region and other regions live.
According to him, the regional authorities are currently arranging places for living - repairs and equipment purchases are in progress.
In addition, Kyrylo Tymoshenko visited the regional children's hospital, which, despite the war, is equipped with the necessary medical equipment.
"Equipment was purchased: CT machines and several X-ray machines. Now we are moving on to carry out repairs and improvements," he said.
Kyrylo Tymoshenko also got acquainted with the work of the Points of Invincibility in Odessa.
"We went to one of the Indestructibility Points of the State Emergency Service, and there were about ten people there. Someone is studying, someone is charging their phone, someone is just warming up because he was walking with a child next to him," said Kyrylo Tymoshenko.
The deputy head of the President's Office called on citizens to familiarize themselves with the list of such points on the website www.nezlamnist.gov.ua and to save information about those located nearby to use the Points of Invincibility, which are created by both the state and responsible business, in the event of a lack of electricity and the Internet .
