The Lithuanian Parliament today, on March 26, approved amendments allowing the purchase of drones with Chinese components and their transfer to Ukraine.
This was reported by Lrytas.lt.
It is noted that the Seimas approved amendments to the law on public procurement, which allow organizations important for security to purchase and use drones with Chinese components for testing purposes or transfer them to other countries.
After discussion, 75 people voted for the project, two abstained, and no deputies voted against.
The Seimas Economic Committee unanimously approved the project after minor adjustments.
The proposal envisages that organizations will be able to transfer purchased drones with Chinese components to support Ukraine. Deputies clarified that since such drones or other products will not be used in the activities of procurement organizations important for security, such exceptions will not harm the interests of the country's national security.
