Lithuania started supplying oil products to Ukraine by rail. This was announced by the state enterprise Lithuanian Railways (Lietuvos gelezinkeliai, LTG).

In particular, LTG Cargo will transport oil products produced by Orlen Lietuva, bypassing Belarus.

The company plans to transport these cargoes two to three times a week. By the end of summer, their monthly volumes will reach 30,000 tons.

“The cargo from the European to the broad gauge will have to be moved only once when entering the territory of Ukraine,” the report says.

In recent weeks, 12 trains with more than 12,000 tons of oil products have left for Ukraine along this route.
