Lithuania has allocated 5 million euros to support the reconstruction of schools and kindergartens in Ukraine. This was announced by the Minister of Finance of Lithuania, GintarÄ SkaistÄ, as reported by LRT.
She met in Kyiv with the Minister of Finance of Ukraine, Serhiy Marchenko, and the Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine, Andriy Pysaruk.
During the visit, which focused heavily on the reconstruction of Ukraine and Lithuania's investments in the country, the minister announced that Lithuania is allocating 5 million euros to support the reconstruction of schools and kindergartens in Ukraine.
According to SkaistÄ, since US support for Ukraine has stalled, the European Union cannot delay and must provide military and financial support to the country fighting Russia's aggression.
During the visit, the minister also visited a kindergarten in Irpin, Kyiv region, which was renovated with Lithuanian funds and equipped with storage facilities meeting safety requirements.
