Lithuania has transferred a new batch of military assistance to the Ukrainian army.

It arrived in Ukraine today, on December 20th, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania.

The Lithuanian army transported and handed over necessary combat equipment and several tens of thousands of field rations to Ukrainian soldiers.

"We continue to exert every effort to support Ukraine in its challenging struggle against a brutal aggressor. Diverse equipment is crucial for soldiers during the winter period. Each of our support packages represents an additional step toward victory," stated Lithuanian Minister of Defense Arvydas Anušauskas.

Last week, Lithuania delivered several million rounds and thousands of projectiles for short-range portable anti-tank grenade launchers to Ukraine. Lithuania emphasizes that, in addition to military hardware and equipment, the country is providing training for Ukrainian military personnel, assisting with medical treatment and rehabilitation, offering expert consultations, and allocating funds to international funds supporting Ukraine.

Lithuania has already formulated a long-term support plan. A new military support package for Ukraine totaling 200 million euros is planned for the years 2024-2026.
