In a comment to Radio Svoboda, the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence, Andriy Chernyak, said that, according to Ukrainian military intelligence, the probability of an invasion of Russian occupation forces from the territory of Belarus in the coming weeks remains low.
"There is a certain threat assessment mechanism, there are certain markers by which we assess the probability of a particular action. We are constantly monitoring any changes in the situation in Belarus. Today, the military intelligence of Ukraine does not detect signs of the creation of a strike group on the territory of Belarus. The Russian army in Belarus strikes Ukraine's peaceful cities, and civilian infrastructure, conducts training, and trains mobilized personnel. Then these mobilized are transferred to the combat zone. Talks about a possible invasion of Ukraine by Belarus are an attempt to draw our troops away from the combat zone," said a Main Directorate of Intelligence representative.
According to Andriy Chernyak, Ukraine's military intelligence monitors what is happening on the territory of Belarus, as there is Russian military personnel there. "We must conduct intelligence in Belarus - we do not hide it. In the event of an invasion, the forces of the occupiers will be destroyed," concluded Ukraine's representative of military intelligence.
