The President of Romania declares that his country will probably have to fight with Russia.

Moldova will ask for help from Romania - an active member of NATO - in case of armed aggression by Russia.

This was stated by the President of Moldova Maia Sandu.

Chisinau will turn to Bucharest for help if the war in Ukraine spills over to Moldova, she said during a meeting with Romanian leader Klaus Iohannis.

"We are concerned. We accept the most pessimistic scenarios. Accordingly, we are preparing for all scenarios. And in a situation where Russia tries to attack the Republic of Moldova, obviously, we will ask for help," she answered the media question whether Chisinau is ready to ask for help from Romania.

In turn, Iohannis added: "We remain closest to Moldova and will not abandon you, regardless of the scenario in which we all find ourselves in this war that Russia is waging against Ukraine."

Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova did not allow the Russian military to enter the territory of their country. This is a task force based in Transnistria.

After that, Pridnestrovie announced its intention to join Russia.

Subsequently, the head of intelligence hinted at Ukraine's readiness to resolve the issue with the Russian-occupied territory in Moldova.
