Ukraine continues to defend the information front and is trying, by all means, to break down russian propaganda. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov at a meeting with EU Commissioner for Internal Market Thierry Breton.

"Since February 24, creative agencies and news agencies work as one team to inform the truth about events in Ukraine to the world. But 20 years of systemic propaganda have done the job - the russians love their king. Hence, the fight is tough. With our every victory at the front, the machine of russian propaganda is intensifying in order to isolate the population from the real state of affairs," Mykhailo Fedorov said during the meeting.

The Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine noted that Ukraine is strengthening the fight against russian propaganda inside the country. However, similar measures should be introduced inside the European Union:

"Numerous fake news and attempts to conceal the truth about the crimes of the russian army in Ukraine have become another weapon in the arsenal of the aggressor. During the three months we have a disappointing conclusion - misinformation and propaganda lead to huge tragedies. That is why we are actively fighting against the russian propaganda machine. YouTube has already blocked the majority of the russian state channels, and the IT army continues to defend the cyber front and strike the enemy. But in this situation, Ukraine and the European Union must act as a united front - to continue to block propaganda channels and to spread Ukrainian channels to the maximum."

The Commissioner reaffirmed the need to continue the joint fight against the spread of disinformation from russia. Moreover, the top EU official stressed the need to expand the list of banned propaganda channels, such as the Russia Today.
