The incumbent Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda is leading with a significant margin in a new presidential rating commissioned by ELTA and conducted by the Baltijos tyrimai company. The survey data is reported by Delfi.
According to the survey conducted from November 16 to 27, if elections were held next Sunday, 31.1% of respondents would vote for Nauseda.
77% of those surveyed gave a positive assessment of Nauseda, while 17% expressed a negative opinion. Another 6% of survey participants did not respond to the question.
In the second position in the rating is lawyer Ignas VÄgÄlÄ, who received the support of 12.7% of survey participants. VÄgÄlÄ gained trust from 45% of respondents, and 31% said they do not trust him.
Closing the top three leaders is the leader of the Lithuanian Social Democrats, Vilija Blinkeviciute, who has not yet announced whether she will participate in the elections. 11.5% of survey participants are willing to vote for her. Blinkeviciute is positively evaluated by 59%, and 31% of survey participants hold a negative opinion of her.
5.6% of respondents intend to vote for the current Prime Minister Ingrida Simonyte. She received a positive evaluation from 21%, while 74% expressed a negative opinion.
The survey was conducted from November 16 to 27, with the participation of 1018 residents of Lithuania aged 18 and older.
