Prime Minister of the Netherlands Dick Schoof, President of Finland Alexander Stubb, and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer discussed providing security guarantees to Ukraine, as well as new options for supporting the country.
They also addressed “the need for Europe to be involved in matters concerning its own future.”
“It’s important for Europe to keep working together to support Ukraine in the peace negotiations. I discussed the latest developments with Finland’s President Alexander Stubb and the UK’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer,” Schoof wrote on X on Sunday.
According to Schoof, the parties
“We talked about the provision of security guarantees to Ukraine if a deal is reached, as well as the need for European involvement in matters that concern Europe’s future. We also looked at new options for supporting Ukraine, to enable it to continue to defend itself against Russia and bolster its position at the negotiating table.”
