During a working visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Ukraine's Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov met with his Dutch counterpart Ruben Brekelmans.
The two sides discussed deepening defense cooperation and enhancing practical interaction in the field of security. Both ministers reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to the partnership between the countries.
A key outcome of the talks was the decision by the Netherlands to allocate €700 million for drones for Ukraine. The ministers also discussed the "Drone Line" project, which helps scale modern combat experience. The Dutch side confirmed its readiness to support the initiative and facilitate its expansion. Another topic of the meeting was strengthening air defense. The sides discussed specific steps that will help Ukraine better counter Russian missile and drone attacks.
"The Netherlands is among the leaders in supporting Ukraine, and this support remains unchanged. Thank you to Ruben Brekelmans and the entire team of the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands for their clear position, swift decisions, and real assistance," emphasized Rustem Umerov.
