Information about the whereabouts of the commander of the Azov regiment, Denis Prokopenko, and the commander of the 36th Marine Brigade, Sergei Volynsky, have not yet been disclosed.

It is not known whether the Ukrainian commanders-defenders of Azovstal were in the colony in Yelenovka, where the invaders staged a bloody terrorist attack.

This was announced on August 1 on the air of telethon by the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights, Dmitry Lubinets.

“These are our two commanders. We are now establishing a specific place where they were. In order not to interfere with the process of obtaining information, I cannot publicly say where and who is. We have communication with the International Committee of the Red Cross. According to the UN, we have a worse situation. I sent letters of appeal on the first day after the tragedy in Yelenovka, but I never received a response," Lubinets said.
