In some regions of the Russian Federation, the mobilization process was suspended due to the fact that they encountered organizational problems.
The suspension of mobilization in Russia was explained by "mobilization waves", but there are other problems.
Military expert Oleg Zhdanov expressed this opinion on the air of the Freedom TV channel.
Commenting on the words of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin that 222,000 people have already been called up as part of the announced mobilization, Zhdanov noted that approximately this number could indeed be.
"Our intelligence shows that they collected a little more than 100 thousand. Maybe another 50-60 thousand are somewhere on the road between the military enlistment offices and collection points," the expert noted.
According to him, in some regions of the Russian Federation, the mobilization process was suspended because they faced organizational problems.
"The system does not have time to process these people - to accept and distribute them. There is not enough barracks and housing stock in the training centers. It is cold outside. The military units are not ready to receive them because everyone hoped they would be collected at assembly points and sent to training. So they have partially slowed down. And they are now differentiating; they will carry out mobilization by regions," says Zhdanov.
According to Zhdanov, Putin's words that the mobilization will end in two weeks were said to calm the electorate.
"I think this is more for domestic consumption. And the mobilization itself - they will try to recruit personnel as much as possible," the expert said.
Another reason why mobilization is suspended, Zhdanov calls the fact that those who have already been recruited need to be sent somewhere.
âThey have already announced that they are splitting into three waves. It didnât happen before, but now information has already appeared. They allegedly already collected the first wave, and now it needs to be distributed somewhere. They should send 20 thousand to Belarus, and about 30 thousand were sent to Ukraine. Now they will shove them in this way. That's when they shove these, then the next wave of mobilization will begin, "the expert said.
