Olena Zelenska in an interview for BBC

First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska gave an interview in Kyiv to journalists of BBC, British television and radio broadcasting corporation.

She spoke about the mood of Ukrainians during the period of massive power outages caused by Russian shelling of critical infrastructure.

"We have already had so many ordeals that blackout is definitely not the worst thing that happened. We have learned to live without postponing anything for tomorrow, to do what is necessary here and now," said the President's wife.

"I really believe in what psychologists call post-traumatic growth, when we come out of ordeals stronger. We have definitely changed and hardened. Ukrainians hold on in the most difficult times. Because we know what we are fighting for," the First Lady added.
