"In the port of the temporarily occupied Mariupol, a Russian military ship has docked, and earlier four combat helicopters of the aggressors were also spotted there," said Petro Andriushchenko, advisor to the mayor of Mariupol.

"We are observing: Mariupol port has become a military base. Yesterday, for the first time since the occupation, a Russian military ship entered the waters of the Mariupol seaport and docked," he wrote in a Telegram channel.

According to Andriushchenko, an hour before its docking, four combat helicopters of different classes landed on the port's territory, and by evening, they were stationed there.

However, he noted that it is important to monitor whether this docking is a systematic or a one-time event.

"If this is a permanent basing, then numerous questions arise. Starting from what threat this ship poses here, to assessing the threat in the near future for a new battle for Mariupol," concluded the advisor.
