President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with Minister of Defense of the Netherlands Kajsa Ollongren, who is on a visit to Ukraine.
The Head of State emphasized the importance of Kajsa Ollongren's visit to the city of Dnipro, where the Dutch delegation had an opportunity to see the devastating consequences of Russian aerial terror with their own eyes.
"We are grateful to the Dutch government led by the Prime Minister, the parliament and society for all the support and important decisions for Ukraine. We have signed a very powerful document in the field of security between the countries," Volodymyr Zelensky said.
The President emphasized the importance of fixing in the bilateral security agreement the provision of €2 billion in military assistance to Ukraine in 2024, as well as a powerful military component.
The Head of State emphasized the leading role of the Netherlands in the functioning of the international aviation coalition and expressed gratitude to the Dutch government for the important decision to transfer F-16 jets to Ukraine.
Volodymyr Zelensky informed in detail about the situation on the battlefield and the current needs of Ukrainian defenders. The interlocutors paid special attention to bolstering Ukraine's air defense, providing artillery, armored vehicles and UAVs, in particular in the framework of joint projects.
The parties also discussed further realization of Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
