Hungary's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó, stated that Hungary has not provided and will not provide Ukraine with weapons. He made this announcement during a joint press conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, and the Head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak.
Szijjártó mentioned that the issue of security guarantees for Ukraine was not discussed during the current meeting. However, he emphasized that Hungary has not supplied and will not supply weapons to Ukraine.
"I must tell you that in the future, we will not supply weapons, just as we have not supplied them before. At the same time, we have never refused to help any citizen of Ukraine who has fallen into trouble," Szijjártó said.
He expressed Hungary's readiness to assist Ukraine in humanitarian aspects and hoped that such assistance would not be necessary for a long time.
