A delegation of representatives from Ukrainian defense enterprises, led by Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Defense Serhiy Boiev, held talks with the Lithuanian side on implementing joint projects in the defense industry.

Following a working visit to Romania, the Ukrainian delegation headed by Boiev arrived in Lithuania, where they met with Deputy Minister of National Defense Tomas Godliauskas. The negotiations also included executives from Ukroboronprom and other Ukrainian defense industry enterprises. The purpose of the visit was to assess the capabilities of Lithuanian companies in order to select partners for joint production projects involving Ukrainian weapons and initiatives within the SAFE mechanism.

“Ukrainian companies have long cooperated with Lithuanian partners, and we aim to strengthen this partnership. Regional security depends on our joint efforts,” said Serhiy Boiev.

The Ukrainian delegation visited Lithuanian enterprises already working with Ukraine’s defense industry. During the visit, they evaluated production capacities, technological solutions, and industrial potential to ensure closer cooperation and develop manufacturing in Lithuania.

The Lithuanian side expressed interest in localizing drone technology development and production within the country, adopting Ukraine’s advanced defense industry expertise to strengthen national security and defense manufacturing capabilities.

“We seek not only to support Ukraine today but also to build a strong defense ecosystem for tomorrow. The realities of war are ushering in a new era of defense technology. Together, Lithuania and Ukraine can not only strengthen their defense industries but also become an innovation hub creating solutions for the security of all Europe,” said Deputy Minister Tomas Godliauskas.
