Ukrainian drones have been responsible for eliminating 65% of Russian soldiers and 75% of enemy equipment on the battlefield.
This was stated by Colonel Roman Kostenko, Secretary of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence, during a project hosted by Ihor Dolhov on the YouTube channel of Ukrinform.
"According to last year’s statistics, 65% of Russian soldiers on the battlefield were killed by Ukrainian drones — not by artillery, not by mines, not by firearms, but specifically by drones," he reported.
According to him, 75% of Russian military equipment was also destroyed by drones launched by the Ukrainian side.
The MP emphasized that these figures clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of drones on the battlefield.
At the same time, Kostenko noted that artillery has not lost its significance and still has the power to influence Russian intentions:
"When a 152mm shell is flying at you, you really start to reconsider whether it’s worth going any further. However, statistics are statistics, and the enemy’s greatest losses are indeed caused by drones," he concluded.
