Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani announced on Friday, December 1, that the forces of three countries will practice exercises during the maritime security maneuvers 'Sea Belt' in 2024.

This was reported by the Iranian government newspaper Tehran Times.

Admiral Irani noted that delegates from Pakistan, Brazil, Oman, India, South Africa, and several Caspian Sea coastal states are also invited to participate in the exercises as observers.

It is mentioned that in recent years, Iran, China, and Russia have conducted several joint military exercises.

Their goal was to enhance the security of international maritime trade, combat piracy and maritime terrorism, exchange information on maritime rescue operations and relief operations, as well as share operational and tactical experience.
