Moldovan Defense Minister Anatoly Nosatiy said on Monday that Russia had not provided any credible explanation after three Russian missiles illegally flew over Moldovan airspace in the early hours of October 10.
As "European Pravda" reports, Nosatiy said this on the air of the "360 degrees" programme on Radio Moldova.
"We have not received an official explanation. From the discussions I had with colleagues from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and in particular from the discussions I personally had with the military attaché, the Russian side is taking a more defensive position about its actions and is asking for more details from our side than they are to admit this case," said the head of the Ministry of Defense of Moldova.
According to him, the Russian side has not yet admitted that its missiles flew over the airspace of Moldova without permission.
It will be recalled that on October 10, three Russian missiles launched at targets in Ukraine flew through the airspace of Moldova. They were recorded near Rybnytsia, Sorok, and Floresht. The Ministry of Defense of Romania said that the launches could have been carried out from sea or land platforms in the western part of Crimea.
In this regard, Moldova summoned the Russian ambassador. And the president of the country, Maya Sandu, condemned the massive attack on Ukraine, calling the actions of the Russian Federation against the civilian population barbarism and terrorism.
