Ukraine is the shield of Europe in the east: exhibitions of destroyed russian equipment abroad serve as a reminder. The Czech Republic became the second NATO country after Poland to be “invaded” by a russian tank.

This time, we are talking about the T-90A tank from the 1-st Guards tank army of the western military district of the russian federation. Until recently, the most “elite” one. This is the exact tank army that includes the Kantemiriv and Taman divisions: once glorious, but now covered in disgrace from their crimes.

In the beautiful city of Prague on the territory of Letensky Gardens, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denys Monastyrsky opened an exhibition of russian equipment destroyed and captured by Ukrainian defence forces. It is extremely important that the opening took place during a two-day meeting of the ministers of internal affairs and justice of the EU countries. Members of our Government Denys Monastyrskyi and Denys Maliuska will have the opportunity to demonstrate clearly what is war to those who are responsible for many important decisions.

The foregoing equipment was used to advance on Kyiv through the Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts. The self-propelled artillery unit MSTA-S managed to advance farther than others: to the Brovarskyi district, from where it could shell the outskirts of Kyiv. But right there, russian artillerymen met the defenders of our capital. As a result, the tower of the self-propelled artillery unit got torn off.

The idea of organizing such exhibitions was supported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal. It is a result of teamwork. Pursuant to the decision of the Government, the exhibition in Prague was jointly organized by the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the full support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

But the “main sponsors” of those exhibitions are Ukrainian soldiers. Thanks to their courage and skill, Europe can see with its own eyes that the alleged “second army of the world” can and must be defeated.

The purpose of those exhibitions is simple. To show the people of European countries what an influx of deadly iron Ukraine is restraining right now.

We demonstrate that russian tanks can advance through our territory only as an exhibition item. The men and woman defending us have plenty of courage and professionalism. But we need weapons. Arming Ukraine is the most rational solution to avoid seeing russian troops on their streets, hearing explosions, hiding loved ones…

Embassy of Ukraine in Prague

Prague has a special history with tanks sent by the Kremlin. The Czechs will have things to remember. At the same time, it is a good opportunity to thank the Czech people and their Government for everything they are doing for Ukraine and for the support we greatly appreciate.
