Ukrainian Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov made this statement during a phone call with Australian Defense Minister Richard Marles.

Umeyrov thanked his colleague for the recent provision of a military aid package to Ukraine totaling $100 million USD.

"This new aid package from Australia is another demonstration of the solidarity and support we feel. It's important that we not only receive military assistance but also have the opportunity to enhance our defense capabilities on the battlefield. Together we are stronger and closer to victory."

The assistance includes various equipment necessary to support Ukraine's defense efforts and is allocated as follows: $50 million will be spent on short-range air defense systems, $30 million on unmanned aerial systems, and an additional $15 million on high-priority equipment, including combat helmets, rigid-hull inflatable boats, boots, firefighting masks, and generators.

During the phone call, the parties also discussed cooperation in the defense industry and the possibility of establishing joint ventures with the Australian defense industry.

"Despite the considerable distance between our countries, Australia's support remains unwavering. Together we will drive the enemy from Ukrainian soil," said Rustem Umeyrov.
