The Security Service (SBU) has eliminated another threat to the defense capabilities of Ukraine. In particular, the scheme of appropriating components for combat aircraft at one of the state enterprises in Odessa.
The attackers tried to illegally sell a batch of spare parts for aircraft engines totaling more than UAH 10 million.
Thanks to the operative response of the SBU counterintelligence, the state returned to the state more than half a thousand items, which is enough to repair dozens of military aircraft.
It is established that the management of the state enterprise organized the scheme. Officials "wrote off" components as unusable and stored them indoors at the plant.
Then they tried to "carry" the stolen goods through a fictitious purchase procedure under the guise of purchasing new spare parts and units.
For this purpose, affiliated commercial structures were used and inaccurate information was entered into the reporting documentation.
The issue of notifying the organizers of the scheme of suspicion and choosing a measure of restraint in the form of detention is currently being resolved.
In the Zhytomyr region:
According to the SBU, the assets of Russian and Belarusian mining and quarrying companies worth more than UAH 30 million have been seized. The ultimate beneficiaries of both companies are representatives of the Kremlin's business structures, which participated in financing the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
Using the Ukrainian subsoil, they earned millions of profits for the occupiers from selling and exporting raw materials and finished products.
So far, more than 40 units of special equipment and locomotives have been seized, as well as the entire property complex of the Belarusian company.
The issue of transferring the blocked assets to the management of the National Agency for Detection, Investigation and Management of Assets Obtained from Corruption and Other Crimes is being resolved.
In Transcarpathia:
The SBU's military counterintelligence neutralized a criminal group that organized a channel to smuggle conscripts across the state border of Ukraine.
The attackers offered them to go to one of the European countries illegally based on forged documents about volunteering.
They planned to earn up to $ 15,000 from each client for their "services".
SBU officers detained the organizers at the international checkpoint and at the place of residence at the time of the transfer of almost UAH 2 million equivalent for transporting a group of pseudo-volunteers.
The organizers and three of their accomplices have so far been notified of the suspicion. A measure of restraint in the form of detention was chosen.
In the Poltava region:
According to the SBU, 9 militants of the so-called "DPR" who fought against Ukraine were sentenced to 15 years in prison. The attackers were detained during the liberation of the Kharkiv region.
It has been established that they joined illegal armed groups in the temporarily occupied Donetsk region at the beginning of the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation. Having received weapons and military uniforms of the Russian model, the militants as part of the occupying groups of the Russian Federation were sent to the Kharkiv region.
There they took part in hostilities against Ukrainian troops, including on duty at enemy checkpoints and setting up positions of aggressors.
The court found the perpetrators guilty of treason and participation in illegal armed groups.
The SBU continues to expose and prosecute all those guilty of crimes against our state.
